"Casa Sofia was just what we
had hoped for, a beautiful house situated in a place of outstanding
beauty. We wanted a relaxing quiet holiday and everything we wanted was
catered for"
"Casa Sofia has provided a very
relaxing base where we have enjoyed watching the sunsets over the hills
and following the progress of the goat herd and his flocks"
"We loved Casa Sofia. The beds
were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped. Nalini and Barry were
wonderful. Enjoy your stay. We did!"
"If you have a chance while at
casa Sofia, spend a day with Nalini doing an art workshop. It doesn't
matter if you have no art experience- I didn't!. It's a wonderful
way to spend a day, experimenting with the materials, having 1-1 attention
and art tips and appreciating the beautiful surroundings. I now have my
very own painting of the Andalucian hills to take home and remind me of my
stay at Casa Sofia"
"Casa Sofia is just fabulous.
It was more than we hoped for, clean, fresh, well cared for. The beds are
excellent which is very important to us. The rest of the furniture is nice
and comfortable too and everything is in top- notch condition .The kitchen
is just right and well fitted.
The views from the house are simply stunning. Every day is a whole new
view and every sunset is spectacular. I will happily recommend this
self-catering property. Casa Sofia and the Cooks get 5 stars in our
personal ratings"
"We have enjoyed the view plus
the peace of the valley. We shall miss the bells of the goat herds,
sighting of birds of prey, watching the sun go down with a gin and tonic
and our evening barbeques".
"We were last minute guests to
this wonderful place and I cannot begin to tell you how glad I am that
Casa Sofia was available. Barry and Nalini Cook are wonderful hosts and
could not have been more helpful to two strangers who showed up from
America. This place with its wonderful views, quaint small village and
friendly people was a great place to base all our excursions from"
"We really loved staying at
Casa Sofia with its marvellous views and beautiful original paintings
.Even on the very few cold winter nights we had, we were snug and cosy in
front of the log fire."
"We spent a lot of time
enjoying the pool with the family. Barry and Nalini are the friendliest
people you are likely to meet. They are very helpful with local customs
and knowledge. Nalini's home-made curries and Barry's bread are a
must!"
"My
Husband and I stayed at Casa Sofia in July 2009 and had a wonderful
holiday. If you are like me and worried
about booking on the internet, do not worry this villa is exactly as it is
portrayed on the site.
The
villa is approx. 10/15minutes drive from the village, but the views from the
villa and peace are worth the little drive from the village.Do as we did and pick up shopping essentials
at Carrefouron your wayfrom Malaga airport. The village does have small supermarkets so
you can top-up there during your stay if you don’t want to venture far.
We
booked one of Nalini’s curries (twice in fact). What wonderful fresh
tastingmeal and with one of Barry’s
loaves you can’t go wrong.
Barry
& Nalini leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace, but are there if you
want help.
I
took one of Nalini’s art classes (that’s me on the web page) I had never
painted before but with Nalini’s expert tuition (and patience) I was amazed to
take home a great painting. What a wonderful day."
If
you are looking for a holiday in ‘real’ spain with wonderful views and
location, this is for you."
"My stay at Casa Sofia was amazing! I loved swimming in the fresh and clean pool, as swimming is one of my favourite hobbies! The food made by Nalini is gorgeous, and the bread made by Barry is really tasty. The great views are spectacular! Also, visiting the public swimming pool for a session of aerobics in the village, was a new experience. Being in the company of Spanish people made me feel like I was at home! I definitely recommend this outstanding holiday destination!"
